President's Welcome

Nicholas C. Elwert, DO, MS

If you had to use one word to describe our organization, the first one that comes to mind is family. Here at the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOCPMR), we focus on promoting an atmosphere where the ideas and experiences of both our allopathic and osteopathic members are highly valued from a student, resident and attending level. These passions continually shape our college allowing us to provide not only the best care to our patients but to become leaders within the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation.

As residents and fellows, we represent the future of our college and the field. Our resident council was created to assist our AOCPMR members with their success now and in their future careers. As an in-training member, you have access to a multitude of unique features created for your advancement including: an extensive mentorship network through our mentorship program, membership forums with available job postings, a comprehensive PM&R specific fellowship database, Project Make-It-Happen (which provides funding for events at individual programs), and an OMT Video Series—to name a few. Check out these features and more on our new website!

We value your membership with AOCPMR and want to be a part of your journey as an intern, resident and fellow. Along your journey as a resident physician, we would love to hear from you and help you in the pursuit of your passions.
